Mudkat Products Line Guide
The Mudkat Line Guide makes the retriever a much better reel. It keeps the line in the front of the reel which helps keep the line on the rollers. For the slotted retriever it also helps keep the line from falling out the slot, no matter which way the reel is facing. The slot also keeps the line attached to the bottle out of the way. The line guide is an all aluminum construction for strength and light weight and comes with neccessary bolt and lock nut. See the pictures of the line guide attached to a retiever.
NOTE: The Mudkat Line Guide does fit the new model of Retrievers (Pro) they simply require an additional longer bolt. This additional bolt is included with all line guides.

How does the line guide work? It keeps the line attached to the bottle out of the way and where you want it, not wrapped around the handle or anywhere else it is not supposed to be. In the following pictures the bottle is mounted on the top of the bow and when all the line is pulled out of the reel the line guide helps to keep the line from getting tangled.
